Overigens is de damesfinale van Madrid gisteren geweest (Sabalenka wint van Barty).
De finale van de mannen daar is vandaag: Zverev - Berrettini.

Het was voor mij niet helemaal duidelijk dat het mannen- en de vrouwentoernooi toch wél in hetzelfde weekend zouden zijn. Ik denk dat er wellicht i.v.m. corona wat geschoven is in kalender.

Update van speelronde 10 volgt z.s.m. ná de mannenfinale Madrid. Ik mik op dinsdag.

Roland Garros is met een week uitgesteld en vindt nu plaats van 30 mei t/m 13 juni.

Daarom is de 1e wisselperiode ook met een week uitgesteld naar: 16 mei t/m 29 mei.

Wissels moeten dus uiterlijk zondag 29 mei 23:59 binnen zijn als je wilt dat je nieuwe speler(s) (m/v) meteen mee gaan tellen bij Roland Garros.

Komen ze te laat binnen dan gaan ze pas meetellen voor je team bij het eerste toernooi dat daarop volgt.

Nog geen schade want dit was pas de 1/8 finale van dit 250-toernooi.

Osaka trekt zich terug uit het toernooi. 

Lekker dan, zero points.

Daar schiet je niet zoveel mee op om die manier je punt te maken t.a.v. de mentale staat van tennissers. Je kan in je persconferentie n.l. daarover juist praten en zo aandacht vragen ipv met een boycot.

EDIT:

Ze heeft verklaard zelf een serieus probleem met depressies te hebben sinds haar winst op de US Open 2018. Dat is natuurlijk niet fijn, en ze gaf ook zelf aan dat haar boodschap duidelijker had kunnen zijn. Hopelijk kan ze snel weer zonder deze last spelen.

Afgelopen week net Osaka ingewisseld voor Halep omdat de Roemeense niet meedoet aan Roland Garros en ik wat wilde stijgen in de stand
